THE BLOG OF DRU: THE NEW N-WORD (RE-ISSUED)

(This article was written on 10-16-2025)

Let’s just dive into it:

It’s exhausting sometimes to be black. It really is. And no, this isn’t a “Woe is Me” moment. This is my point of view of what I’ve seen, been through and still go through. Also, this is my platform that I 100% own and run, so if you don’t want to read on, then move around from here.

(Adjusts my tie and glasses). Now, let’s continue.

I noticed how I didn’t say “I’m ashamed of being black”, because there’s a BIG difference. BIG. What are some of the reasons why? Well, the list is very long. And it’s things, sayings, behaviors from others, both in person and online, that play a major role in it all, but I’ll try to narrow it down.

Side note: You can say whatever you want about me, but you’ll NEVER hear me say I’m ashamed of my skin. I wish I could say the same thing about some of you other people of color because you think being white is “better” and being a person of color is “shameful”. (When I mean a person of color, I just don’t mean black. It could be latino, asian, etc.)

Ignorance at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.

Those type of people make me fucking sick. I have ZERO respect or regard for them. I could name some names, but nah. I don’t want to give them any shine on my platform. Those also are the type of people who think ALL black people are the everyday stereotypes that’s being portrayed everyday. That includes me. Of course every race has them, but ours are more highlighted everyday. More on that in a bit, because I’m getting warmed up.

What I mean by being exhausted is when I log into social media, whether it’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any platform, I see a lot of cowards. Cowards who were raised by social media. Cowards who don’t travel, speak to women, have friends, hobbies, interests, and most importantly, cowards who ain’t got the balls, the spine or the heart to say the shit they say to my face, or any person of color’s face. These types of men tie in with the type of men I spoke about in my previous article (The Lonely Males. You can read it right here, at The Blog Of Dru. Cheap plug, again).

And what type of comments do I see? Before I go into that, I want to say that I find being in comments sections somewhat entertaining. Rarely do I comment on some posts. It’s just funny seeing comments from certain pages.

These are the type of comments I see on posts that are related to an interracial (black/white, black/latina, etc) couple, to a black man promoting a business:

“Those haircuts where made for nappy ass hair only”
“A white baby would have been cuter”
“Because you’re a mudshark”
“Fucking disgusting race traitor. You’re tainted because you slept with a black”
“She’s damaged goods for being with a nigger”
“I wish her bf was white. She would have a better life”
“All blacks are the same. Can’t trust them”

I could go ON AND ON, but I think the point is made. And most of these comments are from men (trust, there’s some women with the same energy as well. Don’t think I forgot about you). Again, now I understand why the male loneliness epidemic exists. I took screenshots of these comments from Instagram. Some of them can’t even spell, like in the first comment with “where” instead of “were”. You can’t be racist and retarded at the same time. Some of you Bitter Bobs gotta pick a struggle.

After saying all of that, one would think “Andrew, why are you letting this bother you?” It doesn’t bother me, per se. The point of this article is that when I hear people say “Well, there’s no more racism in America because we elected a black man as president” or whatever laughable, closed minded comment they want to insert, I cringe and shake my head.

You’re incorrect. Shit is still happening, just behind the keyboard and screens. And in person as well, in certain parts of the world. These are the new ways of saying the “N-word.”

And what’s even funnier? When I hear the term “You talk white”. Let’s break this down:

So you’re telling me that talking white equals intelligence and talking “black” equals stupidity? The fact that I’ve met and seen a LOT of ignorant, stupid, narrow minded ass white people and this quote still exists is mind blowing. Yes, certain slang I have used and still use. So that automatically makes me stupid?

LOL. Again, some of y’all (see what I did there) gotta pick a struggle. It’s laughable at this point, to be honest.

And here’s another angle:

Some stereotypes are cool and funny. For real. But most of them are not. Let’s say you don’t fall into the majority of the negative stereotypes? You know what happens next? They’ll LOOK for something to shit on you for. OR, they’ll make shit up so they can feel better about themselves, which they want you to be like them: Miserable, low energy, zero friends, nothing going for them, pea brain, small dick energy ass bastards. I also love smiling in the faces of people like this, because like I stated earlier, they will NEVER have the soul to say it in your face. And even in person, I go off of energy and I’ve been in public places where some white people give me the side eye and such for NO reason, at least no reason I’m giving them. Plus, I’m minding my own business in situations like this! (Not putting ALL white people in a box because that would be very disrespectful, of course. Just highlighting the negative ones, everyone).

Bottom line: I’m going to continue to evolve, grow, get 1% better everyday, be open minded and mind my business. While the ones I’ve talked about in this article will continue to argue all day on the internet and be miserable pieces of shit. I’ll end this with a quote that fits with the energy and subject matter of this article:

“Remember, they love our art. But wouldn’t be caught dead in public with the artist”.
